Most investors make their portfolios more complex than necessary. Many do not know exactly what they own. Although investment analysis does not sound simple and can actually be complex, we have many years of experience in translating the complex to the simple. Whether your portfolio includes traditional investments or alternatives, you can depend on us to illustrate in simple terms the composition and allocation of your portfolio.
Although most of our clients own some individual stocks, we believe most investors benefit from a combination of passive Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and actively managed mutual funds. ETFs can provide low expense exposure to specific areas of the market and they are usually very tax efficient. We prefer using these ETFs and mutual funds when investing in equities, but we prefer individual securities when investing in fixed income.
